On Oct.24, 2016, CWPC signed a contract of clean and efficient power plant (1*220MW) with Phogsubthavy (hereinafter referred to as PSG). Former vice-premier of Laos, Mr.Liu Xin –Director of Business Office of Sichuan province, Mr.Li Gang -the Secretary of Zigong Municipal Committee and senior leaders from CWPC and PSG attended this signing ceremony.

It is another new project of CWPC in Southeast Asia market after the contracts of waste-to-energy power generation and clean & efficient power generation projects in Thailand and Pakistan. And it is also the first project in Laos, which is a very important supporting point to build the energy industry corridor of One Belt and One Road.

Mr. Yang Jun-President of CWPC said that in recent years , CWPC actively responds to the call of One Belt and One Road and led by “251 Three-year Action Plan” and “Enterprises Going-out”, it actively expands overseas markets with the correct leadership of Zigong municipal party Committee and Government and the strong support from Business Office of Sichuan province and Zigong City .At the same time ,he also pointed out that through the cooperation between both sides ,we will make use of coal resources with low heating value and high sulfur content in Laos to make inferior coal resources in Laos industrialized, to provide  green power ,create more jobs and raise income for people in Laos.

It is an environmental protection project which benefits the country and people living there and also consolidates Southeast Asian market of CWPC under One Belt and One Road. We will strictly implement the contract and guarantee environmental protection, excellent performance, elaborate organization, in-time delivery, good quality and services .We will strive to build a demonstrative, quality and pilot project in the field of electric power engineering in Laos.
